12 Days Xinjiang Tour

Today your flight will touch down in Kashgar. We will meet you at the airport exit with a welcome board. Then a comfortable drive will send you to the local hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own. Rest up and get ready for tomorrow's adventure!

Your today's trip now kicks off!

The first stop is Bulongkol Lake. Driving on the China and Pakistan Highway, enjoy your time admiring the magnificent Bulongkol Lake, also known as Baisha Mountain (White Sand Mountain). It is located in the Pamir Platea. Alternating between the dark rock and white sand, the scenery outlines a perfect calligraphic masterpiece, which looks quiet and beautiful.

Then turn to the mysterious Karakul Lake, where herds of livestock are reflected as Kirghiz herdsmen usually settle down and graze their herds by the lake.

After visiting, drive to Taxkorgan in the late afternoon and have a good rest. Look forward to tomorrow!

Today, before driving back to Kashgar, we will first visit the Stone Fortress.

The city is oval in shape and the city walls were built with sun-dried bricks on stone foundation. Over the past few years, new wooden pathways have been constructed to allow tourist to walk these beautiful grasslands, known as the Golden Grassland. From here you can get even better photos of the Stone Fortress. You can also walk around the pastureland to see Local Tajiks customs. 

Then head back to Kashgar and have a good rest!

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel. Then, enjoy a full day excursion of Kashgar! 

Let's start from the Apakh Hoja Tomb (Xiangfei Tomb), the largest and most influential Islamic burial Place in Xinjiang and a fundamental cultural relic unit under the protection of the Autonomous Region. As a Mausoleum of the descendants of an Islamic sage, it was built around 1640 AD.

Then we will visit the Idigar Mosque, the largest Mosque in China and the most sacred mosque for the locals to practise their Islamic activities.

Next we are going to the Old Town. Come and join the exciting movement in this well-preserved Uighur residential area. Our speciality: relaxing in the Hundred-years Tea house, taste the local rose tea and nang-bread!

Continue to visit Handicraft Street, gathered hundreds of handicraft workshops, which has become a boutique exhibition for handicraft in Kashgar and Central Asia.

After the city tour, you will be transferred to the airport and take a flight to Yining. Our driver will meet you and then take you to the hotel for rest.

Arrangements for today make for the experience of a lifetime.

We will first head to visit the ingenious Kalajun Prairie, which is as beautiful as in a poem or a picture. There are springs densely distributed here. Every year, from May to September, it is the ideal place for people of the pasture to exchange materials and hold cultural activities. Kalajun, in Kazak, means "a dark wilderness". For generations, people on the grassland have lived a simple nomadic life. The traditional lifestyle exudes a unique charm.

Later in the day, we will drive to Tekes downtown. You will enjoy a wonderful night in Lijie Street, where to experience the unique “Bagua” culture of Tekes.

In the morning, wake up leisurely and enjoy the gentle sunshine!

Today we will drive to Nalati to admire the natural beauty of Nalati grassland. It is also known as Gongnaisi grassland. In Turkic language, it means "white yang slope". In the east of Xinyuan Nalati Town, about 110.0 kilometers away from Yili Xinyuan County, located on the northern slope of Nalati Mountain, it is a mountainous grassland developed on the Tertiary paleoflood deposit. The Nalati grassland is a subalpine meadow plant area that is one of the four major grasslands in the world and has been a famous pasture since ancient times. The combination of beautiful grassland scenery and local Kazakh folk customs has become a famous tourist resort in Xinjiang. 

Say farewell to Naraty and we will drive to Yining. Then, have a good rest!

Citywalk around Liuxing Street where houses are full of the Russian style; taste the handmade ice cream at the Night market; enjoy the sunset of Yining River; and you will fell free in Kazanqi Folklore village! Let all the refreshing experience please your eyes and souls to the utmost. 

Today's highlight is a morning excursion to Sayram Lake, known as the last drop of tears of the Atlantic. We will take a walk around the lake to stretch your body and relax from the long car tour.

Continue to drive ahead, we will pass by a famous bridge-Guozigou Bridge. It is the most important and expensive bridge in Xinjiang with a cost of 45 million dollars for 1 meter's construction! The picturesque Guozigou valley will bring you the epitome of the best scenery of northern Xinjiang.

Today after breakfast, we will take a 6-7 hours' driving back to Urumqi.

After arriving, we will check into the hotel first, then our guide and driver will show you around the Urumqi city, you can shop freely in Grand Bazaar. If you want to buy some special products for your family and friends; or just explore the cultural customs of Urumqi.

Next, we will transfer you to hotel and have a good rest! 

This wonderful day will start from driving to Turpan, an important town on the ancient silk road, also one of the centers of the Uygur cultures.

Our first stop is the Tuyoq Village, constructed in eastern and western cliffs in Tuyoq valley. There are more than 40 caves and 10 preserving murals. During the route, you can't help but be amazed by the beautiful scenery of the Flaming Mountain.

Afterwards, we will head to Bezeklik Grottoes, which is a complex of Buddhist cave grottoes dating from the 5th to 14th century between the cities of Turpan and Shanshan at the north-east of the Taklamakan Desert near the ancient ruins of Gaochang in the Mutou Valley.

Then rent a Sand Dunes (4WD into desert) to explore Kumtag Desert, which is located on the eastern edge of Turpan Basin and it is one of the most rare desert which connected with cities in the world. As one of the rare desert in the world, especially when you standing on the top of the Sand Mountain in the desert, and observe the brilliant sunrise and the colourful sunset, you can also experience the magnificent view of "In boundless desert lonely smokes rise straight, Over endless river the sun sinks round", which is quite splendid.

The tour today start with Jiaohe Ruins with a history of 2,300 years lies between two rivers on a loess plateau atop a cliff of over 30m. It is one of the best preserved ruins of its ancient era in China, it was include in the World Heritage List on June 22, 2014.

And afterwards,We will head to next scenery spot- Karez Irrigation System, which is a unique irrigation system in Turpan. It takes advantage of the slopes, draws the underground water to flow by itself to irrigate farmland. It consists of four parts: vertical wells, underground channels, ground canals, and small reservoirs. 

After visiting, we will drive around 3hrs return to Urumqi, and to check in the hotel. Wish you guys have a wonderful night!
