11 Days Xinjiang Tour to Kashgar, Kanas & Yili

Today you will catch the flight to Kashgar. We will meet you at the airport. Transfer to your hotel and check in. Have a good rest or enjoy your free time in this exotic city.

Your Xinjiang group tour now kicks off! Today we will drive about 4hrs to Karakul Lake along the karakoram Highway. After 1hr's driving, we will stop at Opal village for a rest where you may stroll around the local bazaar with the feeling of the traditional local lifestyle.

Continue to enjoy the majestic views of the Sand dunes, mountains, and sandstone valley along the Karakorum Highway, the Hindu Kush Mountains and the Himalayas. It is the world's tallest cross-border roads and most thrilling corridors.

Then trek around the Karakul Lake, enjoy the magnificent landscape and the nomadic lifestyle of the local Kirghiz in their yurts.

After that, we will back to Kashgar in the afternoon.

After enjoying your breakfast in the hotel, we will do full day Kashgar city excursion.

Our first stop is Dongmen Bazaar which is rated as the Top Bazaar in the world. Around 10:30 we will visit the Old Town when the open ceremony is ready to greet all the tourists with the culture show, further exploration to the special culture and experience the lifestyle with the arrangements of a visiting to the local Uighur Family.

Next, enjoy your lunch arranged in the local Restaurant.

Then wandering to the bustling Handicraft street, with dazzling jewelry, primitive pottery, unique musical instrument, and daily resources of the locals.

In the afternoon, you will take the flight to Urumqi.

Today we will drive along the desert highway to the beautiful Burqin.

You can enjoy the stunning views of Ulungur Lake en-route. It is an ideal home of migratory birds, famous for its abundance of fish. This wetland park is vast in territory and rich in aquatic products. With valuable wetland resources, the ecological system is typical, uniqueness and diversity.

Then enjoy the sunset of Colored-beach upon arrival and stroll in the night market. 

After enjoying your breakfast in the hotel, we will travel to Hemu.

It is a Tuwa village nestled in a quiet valley in Kanas, dotted with Tuwa wooden huts and livestock in pens. Hemu village is one of the only three remaining Tuwa villages and also the largest and most remote one. Some people call Tuwans as “a primitive tribe wandering in the depths of Xinjiang”. The morning fog in Hemu is another must-see attraction in Kanas. The fog can be seen almost everyday here, so that it matches different seasons and presents distant charm. Gorgeous sunrise in Hemu is also worth expecting!

Note: Once arrive in Hemu, we will change onto the shuttle bus to get to the village. Please  leave your luggage in the coach and just take a washing bag and your necessities.

Be embraced by the gentle breath of Hemu and appreciate the stunning sunrise!

We will then drive to Kanas. Kanas Nature Reserve is the largest 5A national scenic area in China, which the photographers consider as the holy place. Kanas means "a land of beauty and mystery" in Mongolian. Kanas lake is a must-see attraction, which is shaped like a crescent moon and is a masterpiece of the fourth glacial period from about 200,000 years ago. It is also the deepest inland alpine lake in China with a maximum depth of 188 meters. The wonder of the lake is that it changes colors with the change of seasons and weather. Sometimes it's crystalblue, and sometimes it's dark green or even gray. In August and September, the color transforms to a “Tiffany blue tinted with milky white” as the upstreams flow in. The most popular spots around Kanas lake are the Fish Pavilion, where you will have a bird's-eye view of Kanas lake and its surroundings -- Fairy Bay, Dragon Bay and Moon Bay.

Later in the day, we will drive back to Jiadengyu to have a good dinner and good rest!

Today we will travel along the Gurbantunggut Desert to the Urho Ghost City, also known as Wuerhe Wind City", a unique wind-eroded geological area commonly referred to as "wind city" because of the frequent howling winds.

Tonight we will stay at Urho.

Today will be one of the unforgettable experiences as we will continue the journey to Sayram Lake, another highlight of your northern Xinjiang tour, which is known as the last drop of tears of the Atlantic. Sayram Lake is a fairyland with wonderful natural scenery, with clear and pure water. Here, you can stroll on the shore, enjoy the blooming wildflowers and the beautiful grassland around.

Start your day after breakfast! Then drive you to the famous pasture Nalati Grassland.

Upon arrival, feast your eyes on the vast prairie, and take a deep breath to enjoy the fresh air. Nalati is one of the four famous grasslands in the world. Here, you can admire the beautiful scenery and explore the Kazakh way of life.

Morning excursion starts from driving back to Yining.

Our first stop is Kazanqi Folk Village, the only large-scale cultural scenic spot in Northern Xinjiang, which mainly reflects the Uygur customs. Unique architectural style and hospitable locals are the best choices to experience the local lifestyle and culture. Wander through this magical town, gaze through the crowds and your mind is transported to an exotic medieval city in Central Asia.

What's more, we will next visit Liuxing Street, named for its hexagonal street, was built in the mid-1930s. A hundred years of cultural precipitation has shaped its unique historical and humanistic value of Liuxing Street. Now Liuxing Street has developed into a famous tourist attraction integrating tourism, cultural exhibition, garden tourism, specialty restaurants and craft processing. And you can also visit the famous Alexander Accordion Museum there.
