In the depths of the Tianshan mountains, approximately 60 kilometers south of Urumqi, lie numerous deep and remote valleys, both large and small. The Baiyanggou Valley, Shuixigou Valley, and Que-er-Gou Valley are among the most renowned, forming the picturesque attractions of Nanshan Mountain.
As you ascend the valleys, you will encounter cliffs, waterfalls, and dense woodland, grasslands, and flowers. On the lush green meadows, Kazakh herdsmen engage in recreational and sports activities like horse racing, lamb wrestling, and courting rituals. Visitors can also experience Kazakh culture by visiting a yurt and savoring traditional foods such as kumiss, cheese-stewed mutton, and kebabs.
