Itinerary

Day 1Kashgar Arrival

Your adventure begins as your flight touches down in the enchanting city of Kashgar. Upon arrival, our friendly team will greet you at the airport exit with a warm welcome sign. We'll then whisk you away to your hotel for a smooth check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax or start exploring this vibrant city at your own pace. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Kashgar!

Day 2Discovering the Heart of Kashgar

After a good night's rest, meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby. Today, we'll take you on a captivating full-day tour of Kashgar. First, we'll visit the iconic Id Kah Mosque, the largest mosque in China and a spiritual hub for the local Muslim community. Around 10:30, we'll head to the Old Town, where a lively opening ceremony awaits, complete with traditional cultural performances. This is your chance to dive deep into the local lifestyle and experience the unique charm of Kashgar.

After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, we'll continue to the Apak Hoja Tomb, a sacred site and architectural masterpiece in Xinjiang. As the day winds down, we'll explore the bustling Handicraft Street, where you'll find dazzling jewelry, intricate pottery, unique musical instruments, and everyday items used by the locals. In the evening, we'll drive to Yarkent for a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3Journey to the Roof of the World

Wake up to a hearty buffet breakfast before we embark on an unforgettable journey to Taxkorgan. Our first stop is the vibrant Sunday Bazaar, a weekly market brimming with local goods and lively energy. Then, we'll hit the China-Pakistan Highway, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Pamir Plateau. Along the way, we'll make a stop at Opal Village to explore its traditional bazaar.

Next, we'll visit the stunning Oytagh Glacier Park, a natural wonder surrounded by towering mountains, icy peaks, and lush meadows. Take a leisurely walk and soak in the awe-inspiring scenery. Later, we'll marvel at the Bulongkol Lake, also known as White Sand Lake, nestled in the majestic Pamir Plateau. This serene spot is a must-see on the way to Karakul Lake and Taxkorgan. After a day of exploration, we'll settle in Taxkorgan County for the night.

Day 4Exploring Taxkorgan's Ancient Wonders

Let's take a breath from yesterday's high-altitude adventure. Today, we'll journey back to Kashgar, but not without a few incredible stops along the way. First, we'll visit the historic Stone Fortress, an oval-shaped city with walls built from sun-dried bricks on a stone foundation. Wander through the newly constructed wooden pathways that lead you across the Golden Grasslands, offering stunning views of the fortress and the surrounding landscape. Here, you'll encounter the local Tajik people, their yurts, and traditional frame houses. For a bit of fun, hop on a small raft and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

Day 5A Scenic Return to Kashgar

After breakfast, we'll make our way back to Kashgar along the legendary Karakoram Highway. Along the route, we'll stop at the Muztagh Glacier Park, a high-altitude wonderland filled with ice towers, caves, and stunning glacial landscapes. Keep an eye out for wild animals and rare plants as you take in the breathtaking views. 

We'll also visit the mesmerizing Karakul Lake, where the crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding mountains and grazing livestock. This tranquil spot is a favorite among Kirghiz herdsmen, who often settle here with their herds. It's the perfect place to pause and soak in the natural beauty of the region before continuing to Kashgar.

Day 6Culture, History, and Desert Charm

Today, we'll venture to Awati Village for a taste of local life. Explore the bustling bazaars and interact with friendly residents as you experience their vibrant daily routines. Then, we'll head to Yarkent, a historic oasis at the edge of the Taklimakan Desert

In Yarkent, we'll visit the Yarkent Intangible Cultural Heritage Park and the Yarkent King Tombs, where you'll learn about the region's rich history and cultural heritage. Yarkent is home to over 120 mosques and is renowned for its traditional Uyghur dances, particularly the "Twelve Muqam", an epic opera featuring over 340 classic songs and folk dances. This musical treasure was preserved by Amannisha, the concubine of the Yarkent King, who dedicated her life to its revival. After exploring the Yarkent Old Town and savoring some local delicacies, we'll return to Kashgar in the afternoon.

Day 7Kashgar Departure

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking End March—End Oct are the best time to visit Xinjiang. From mid April to mid of August is the best time to explore the vast grassland in Yili River valley which borders with Kazakhstan.Mid may to Mid Oct is the best time to explore north Xinjiang of Kanas Nature park. End March to Mid June, Sept and Oct are the perfect season to South Xinjiang for its pleasant weather and sweet fruits.  No need to worry about high altitude along the Xinjiang. We will prepare Oxygen bags if required. We offer beneficial Cancellation Policy to our customers.
