Itinerary

Day 1Crossing the Gobi's Epic Landscapes

Your adventure begins in Urumqi, the vibrant capital of Xinjiang. Buckle up as we drive to Korla, crossing the dramatic Gan Gou, where rugged desert landscapes stretch endlessly. Marvel at the stark beauty of the Gobi, where the earth meets the sky in a breathtaking expanse. Arrive in Korla, a charming oasis city, and rest for the night, preparing for the wonders ahead.

Day 2Korla's Hidden Gems

Today, you'll explore the treasures around Korla. First, visit Bosten Lake, Xinjiang's largest freshwater lake, where shimmering blue waters contrast with golden reeds—perfect for photography. Next, step into the Lop Village, a traditional Uyghur settlement where time seems to stand still. Experience local culture, enjoy folk performances, and savor authentic flavors. Return to Korla for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3Conquering the Taklamakan

Choose between camping under the stars or staying in Tazhong Town, a tiny outpost in the desert's heart. Feel the magic of silence and solitude in this sea of sand.

Day 4Uncovering the "Eastern Pompeii"

Day 5From Ancient Ruins to Desert Oasis

Day 6Minfeng Rest Day

Day 7The Last Hidden Village

Day 8From Solitude to Civilization

Day 9Kashgar Departure

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking End March—End Oct are the best time to visit Xinjiang. From mid April to mid of August is the best time to explore the vast grassland in Yili River valley which borders with Kazakhstan.Mid may to Mid Oct is the best time to explore north Xinjiang of Kanas Nature park. End March to Mid June, Sept and Oct are the perfect season to South Xinjiang for its pleasant weather and sweet fruits. No need to worry about high altitude along the Xinjiang. We will prepare Oxygen bags if required. We offer beneficial Cancellation Policy to our customers.
