Itinerary

Day 1Kashgar Arrival

Upon your arrival in Kashgar, the vibrant pearl of Xinjiang, your unforgettable journey begins! Today, you'll dive deep into the city's rich culture and history. Start with a visit to the magnificent Id Kah Mosque, the largest mosque in China and a sacred site for local Islamic practices. Around 10:30 AM, witness the grand opening ceremony of the Old Town, where lively cultural performances greet visitors, offering a glimpse into the Uyghur way of life.  

After savoring a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the Apak Hoja Tomb, a stunning architectural marvel and the holiest site in Xinjiang. Conclude your day by strolling through the bustling Handicraft Street, where dazzling jewelry, traditional pottery, and unique musical instruments showcase the artistry of Kashgar's craftsmen.

Special Experiences:  

Try your hand at making Naan bread in the Old Town—a fun and tasty adventure!  

Visit a Uyghur family for a hands-on cooking lesson, where you'll learn to prepare local noodles and enjoy a homemade lunch.  

Unwind with afternoon tea at the Hundred Year's Tea House, accompanied by enchanting Uyghur music and dance performances.

Day 2From Blades to Clay

Rise and shine! After breakfast, embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Yingjisha County. Your first stop is Xiaodao Village, renowned for its exquisite Yingjisha Knives, celebrated for their sharp blades and intricate designs. Next, visit Tutao Village, honored as one of China's "Most Beautiful Leisure Villages". Here, you'll meet master potters and try your hand at creating traditional Uyghur earthenware, from glazed pottery to everyday folk crafts. 

Return to Kashgar in the evening, filled with memories of rural charm and artistic heritage. 

Special Experience:  

Roll up your sleeves for a pottery-making workshop, where you'll craft your own unique souvenir under the guidance of local artisans.

Day 3Discovering Uyghur Musical Heritage

Today's adventure takes you to Makit Daolang Village, a 2.5-hour drive through picturesque landscapes. Immerse yourself in the soulful melodies of local Uyghur musicians and admire vibrant peasant paintings created by villagers. On the way back, stop at the Folk Musical Instrument Village, where skilled craftsmen demonstrate the art of making traditional instruments. Explore the Folk Musical Instrument Museum, home to an astonishing collection of Uyghur musical treasures. 

The evening is yours to relax or wander through Kashgar's lively streets at your leisure.

Day 4Sunday Splendor

Wake up to a thrilling Sunday in Kashgar! Begin at the legendary Sunday Bazaar, a sensory explosion of colors, sounds, and aromas. Watch farmers and traders haggle over livestock, from camels to sheep, in a scene straight out of a storybook. Later, visit the Kashgar Museum to uncover the city's fascinating history through ancient relics and stunning murals. 

Your day concludes at Yusuf Khass Hajib's Tomb, paying homage to the great Uyghur poet whose epic work, Happiness and Wisdom, remains a literary masterpiece.

Day 5Free Day in Kashgar

Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring Kashgar at your own pace—perhaps revisit a favorite spot or hunt for last-minute souvenirs. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Urumqi, where a comfortable hotel awaits you.

Day 6Urumqi Departure

Climate and Altitude

Generally speaking End March—End Oct are the best time to visit Xinjiang. From mid April to mid of August is the best time to explore the vast grassland in Yili River valley which borders with Kazakhstan.Mid may to Mid Oct is the best time to explore north Xinjiang of Kanas Nature park. End March to Mid June, Sept and Oct are the perfect season to South Xinjiang for its pleasant weather and sweet fruits.  No need to worry about high altitude along the Xinjiang. We will prepare Oxygen bags if required. We offer beneficial Cancellation Policy to our customers.
