The Swallow Mountain in Wushi Located in the west Wushi County, 120 kilometers to Aksu, the mountain is praised as the 1st wonderful scene in the south of the Tianshan Mountains. Testacean fossils can be found everywhere, some scattering on the ground, and some embedding in rocks. The mountain gets its name because the fossils look like swallow’s heads and wings. The fossil indicates that there had been an expansive sea here in remote geological ages. The Park of Swallow Spring is located at the foot of the mountain, gurgling spring, beautiful pavilions, kiosks and towers, and old and strong trees make it a perfect place for sightseeing and relaxing.
