Itinerary

Day 1Tashkent

Your guide will pick you up at International Airport and accompany you to the capital city of Uzbekistan. Night is in a hotel. 

Day 2Tashkent – Bukhara

After the early breakfast at the hotel we’ll transfer you to domestic airport for your morning flight to Bukhara. Upon arrival you will have some free time in a hotel for a short rest. Full day will be dedicated to a city tour in Bukhara.  Today you will visit Ismael Samani mausoleum (9-10c) - vault of Bukhara rulers' dynasty, Chor-Minor, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleums (14 c), and Bukhara local bazaar. In Old Bukhara you are going to see Poli-Kalon ensemble including Minaret (12c) , Mosque (15c), functioning Madrassah Miri-Arab (16 c), Amir- Alim-Khan Madrassah (14c), Taqi (trading domes), and Kukeldash Madrassah (16c). After lunch time you will see Lyab-i-Hauz (17c), Nadir Divanbegi (17c), Magoki Attari (16c), Ulug Beg (15c), Abdul Aziz (17c) Madrassahs as well as Registan Ensemble, Ark Fortress (16c) and Bolo-Hauz complex (18 c). Overnight is in a hotel.

  


Day 3Bukhara

Today we will visit the historical monuments outside of Bukhara such as Bahouddin Nakshbandi mausoleum (16-19th c.), the sepulchers of his mother and his preceptor (14th c.). The tour will be continued by visiting summer residence of Emir - Sitorai-Mokhi-Hossa (19th c.) and shopping at national bazaar in Bukhara, including the golden market at open air. Afternoon free on your own to explore ancient city: we advise to taste natural green tea with national sweets at Dolon restaurant open terrace & have fashion / folklore show at Nadir Divan Begi madrassa. Night is in a hotel.

  


Day 4Bukhara – Gijduvan – Samarkand

After the breakfast we’ll start our way to Samarkand – The pearl of the East. On the way to Samarkand we’ll stop over at Gijduvan village to visit famous private pottery workshop which was previously visited by Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Sir Charles and many others. There we’ll be a chance to learn the history of pottery culture of Uzbekistan. You will see a short master class of pottery preparing and buy some souvenirs. Afterwards we will continue to drive to Samarkand. Upon arrival you will check in a hotel. 

  


Day 5Samarkand

After the breakfast, you will have full day sightseeing tour of Samarkand. It will include visiting of Guri Emir- Legendary mausoleum where Amir Temur and all his family buried, Registan square, world famous complex of three Madrasahs and golden dome mosque, Mosque of Bibi Khanum, the biggest mosque ever built in Central Asia as gift from wife of Temerlame to her husband. Shahi - Zinda necropolises, a holy place and cemetery with graves of Temured’s dynasty and a grave of cousin of Prophet Muhamed, observatory of Ulugbek, incredible construction of 15 century for studying astronomy. Night is in a hotel.

  


Day 6Samarkand – Tashkent

After the breakfast, we will have time to visit national bazar Siab. After proper shopping, we’ll drive to Tashkent. En route we’ll stop over at mountains near Djizakh city to see Timur’s gates and hear the legend of his army. Continue the drive to Tashkent, upon arrival check in a hotel. Tashkent (literally "Stone City") is the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan with the population of 2 500 000 people. It was part of Sogdian and Turkic influence early in its history and a lot profited from the Silk Road, later being conquered by the Russian Empire. Today Tashkent is a political, cultural, education al and business center of Uzbekistan

  


Day 7Tashkent

After the breakfast you’ll start tour in Tashkent: Independence square and Amir Timur square – main city center, Tashkent metro ride, one of the most decorated from formed soviet times, visiting old city of Tashkent – Chorsu bazaar and narrow streets of Uzbek Mahalla (old living area), Tashkent national arts Centre, local "Broadway", a walking street with artists, cheap souvenirs and eating-places, city fountains and modern monuments. Barak-khan madrasah (16th c.), the Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum (15th c.), Kukeldash Madrasah (16th c.) & Hasti imam mosque with real Othman Khalif Quran are also on the list if visiting. Night is in a hotel.

  


Day 8Departure from Tashkent

After breakfast is transfer to international airport.
